Wait a Beat. The Audience Knows When It’s Off

Thank you for your LinkedIn connection. Your skills and ideologies are admirable, and I envy your professional profile photo.
Might I suggest you space the connection and subsequent DM more than 30 seconds with future connections. Lest, it may appear as though you’re overzealously promoting your services or, pardon my inference, crafting a ploy.
We are all here to network and market ourselves. No shame in that, but decorum is prudent. You may even make a new friend.
No discourtesy intended, but so hasty a sales pitch invites suspicion. I advocate a more fashionable delay and informal message such as “Thanks for connecting” or “I enjoyed your post about Milk Duds.”
I’m sure you are a nice person but tempo is important. Wait a beat. The audience knows when it's off.
